Environment

Each environment offers a wealth of possibilities that it is essential to know how to interpret and take advantage of based on our objectives. From the perspective of occupational therapy, the environment has always been an essential consideration in our interventions. For me, the environment goes beyond being simply a goal to which adaptations must be applied to promote participation; it is a very powerful tool in itself. My sessions are conducted in both natural environments, such as the sea, forest, park, or river, as well as in family homes, schools, sports centers, and other settings. These environments, in addition to being natural and accessible to families, are part of the community, which allows us to promote interaction with the space and people. My approach aims to establish a bridge between the “therapeutic/clinical” and the “community-private” aspects.
